Description
The SHVD demonstration fume hood is recommended for working with a wide range of chemicals. It differs from the SHV-MET fume hood by having front and side windows made of plexiglass, which provides additional visibility during work. It is not recommended for use when working with concentrated inorganic acids, especially in cases involving their evaporation. It is also not recommended to store acids and alkalis in the hood and cabinets, even in closed containers and with the ventilation system turned on.
For work with acids and alkalis, you should choose a special model of fume hood - Chemical fume hood (model ШВП).
The exhaust chamber of the cabinet (upper part) is made of steel with a polymer coating. The working chamber has three exhaust zones - at the top, in the middle and at the bottom of the working volume. The lower part is a durable metal frame with a gray polymer coating. The frame has adjustable supports in the range of 0-30 mm to compensate for surface unevenness.
The cabinet can be equipped with mobile pedestals made of steel with a polymer coating or polypropylene.

How much air volume should be extracted from a fume hood?
There are various sources of information on this topic, but if we summarize all available data, we can say the following: To protect the operator, when the protective screen is raised by 11.81 - 19.69 inches (0.3-0.5 m), the fume hood must ensure an air velocity of 39.37 inches/s (1 m/s) at the working opening. The volume of air being extracted must be sufficient to maintain this velocity at the opening.
For example, if the width of the working opening of the hood is 47.24 inches (1.2 m) and the height is 19.69 inches (0.5 m) (meaning the opening area is 6.46 ft² (0.6 m²)), the exhaust air volume is calculated as the product of the opening area and the linear velocity at the opening. In our case:
0.6 × 1 = 0.6 cubic meters per second or 2160 cubic meters per hour
(Equivalent to 21.2 cubic feet per second or 76,250 cubic feet per hour).
How to choose a fan for a fume hood?
We recommend directing all ventilation-related questions to accredited specialists in this field. Only a specialized company has the expertise to correctly design a ventilation system and select the appropriate equipment.
However, if the system in question is a simple setup like "fume hood - 16.4 ft (5 m) air duct - window," our managers can offer suitable fan options for such cases.
My building has an exhaust ventilation duct. Can I connect a fume hood to it?
We recommend directing all ventilation-related questions to accredited specialists in this field. From our side, we can provide general recommendations in certain cases, but these should not be considered as guidelines for action.
What should be prepared in the building for furniture installation?
Furniture is installed and assembled only in buildings where all construction, finishing, and repair work has been completed. By the time installation begins, all necessary utilities—electricity, lighting, water supply, sewage, and ventilation—must be connected and fully operational. You can find more details here.
Can you manufacture furniture similar to another manufacturer’s (in terms of dimensions and materials)?
Our factory does not engage in copying furniture from other manufacturers. However, we can usually offer alternatives without compromising the key characteristics of the products.
Do dealers have a stock of ready-made products?
All our factory’s products are made to order. Dealers do not maintain a warehouse of ready-made products. Furniture is typically shipped directly to the customer, bypassing the dealer's warehouse.
Is this model available in stock?
We do not have a warehouse for ready-made products. All our factory’s products are made to order. The production time for standard furniture from our catalog is 14 calendar days.
Can you sell and deliver furniture abroad?
Yes, we have experience in international delivery. Most of our exports go to CIS countries—Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Moldova. We also have experience delivering to Europe, specifically Estonia.
Do you have representatives in my region?
Yes, we have a network of dealers in various regions. Some dealers hold exclusive status, meaning we conduct sales in their assigned territories only through them. You can find our list of dealers here.
Do you participate in tenders and work under FZ-44 and FZ-223 laws?
Yes, we participate in all legally established tender procedures. Our company is registered on most electronic bidding platforms. We also have experience fulfilling orders for the Russian Ministry of Defense using special accounts.
What payment terms do you offer?
We offer flexible payment terms depending on factors like the buyer’s reliability, order volume, and partnership history. For government institutions, we typically work with 100% prepayment or a 30/70 split (30% upfront, 70% after delivery).
Do you offer discounts?
Final pricing depends on multiple factors, primarily order volume. Discounts are negotiated with a manager once the full list of ordered products is finalized.
Can you create a 3D sketch of our order?
If the initial layout is available, we can certainly provide a 3D sketch of the room with the furniture placement. For large projects, we can prepare sketches for one or two laboratories to give an overall idea of possibilities. However, detailed drawings of large multi-room projects are only done after confirming collaboration. You can view examples of past projects here.
Can you visit us to discuss our project and take measurements?
In most cases—yes, and we enjoy site visits! This helps us better understand your unique needs and prepare an optimal offer. The decision to visit depends on project size and your location.
How to choose a tabletop?
Material selection depends on the type of work done in your laboratory and the chemical reagents used. The durability and resistance of each surface material vary. To assist with selection, we have tested all our materials for resistance to common reagents.
How to choose the right configuration without overspending?
Our standard configurations include only the most essential features. You can add extra options as needed without paying for unnecessary features.
Can you manufacture furniture based on my design/sketch?
We usually accommodate such requests if they align with our standard construction principles. Decisions on fully custom products are made on a case-by-case basis. However, we never accept orders to replicate designs from other companies exactly, as this is a firm policy.
Can you make furniture based on my custom dimensions?
Yes, we offer this option. Our website displays only standard dimensions, but in practice, we often manufacture custom-sized furniture. Typically, adjustments are made in 50 mm increments, but we can also make specific sizes (e.g., a 1436 mm-long table to fit between walls). Note that custom sizes may affect cost and production time.
